Yacht Hydraulics
Applied Logic Systems programmed and commissioned the PLC and HMI for a 100 foot, carbon composite hull, performance sailing yacht. The system controlled all hydraulic functions on the yacht including a lifting keel, retractable prop, winches and sail trimming. Hydraulic power was derived either from electric pumps or from a Yanmar diesel under closed loop control of the PLC. The system was based on an Allen Bradley CompactLogix L32E PLC, Beijer iX T7A HMI and AS-i remote I/O.

The system controlled all hydraulic functions on the yacht including a lifting keel, bow thruster, winches and sail trimming.
